My wife and I were a bit reluctant to purchase patio furniture from Amazon, but we decided to anyway because I took advantage of getting my tax return in the form of Amazon gift cards resulting in a $500 extra gift card. So, we looked at a ton of them and settled on this one because it strongly reminded us of the furniture at our favorite resort chain in Mexico.
When the furniture came it was delivered by a trucking company, not your standard UPS or FedEx. By promising a tip, I talked the driver into helping me unpack it and haul away the packing materials. Boy am I glad I did, because there was a lot of garbage! There must have been 6 or 7 huge boxes and everything was wrapped in plastic. The cushions were cleverly tucked inside the frames of the furniture. No assembly was necessary other than setting the cushions on the furniture and placing the glass tops on the tables.
Initially the cushions had a water resistant coating but that wore off within a month and the cushions started acting like a sponge, even after I tried re-treating them with a water resistant spray. Eventually we settled on putting the cushions away at night to keep them dry and only getting them out if we were going to use them.
The rattan material has held up perfectly to all of the worst weather Wisconsin has to offer. The cushions have faded just a bit from the sun, but it’s not really noticeable and nothing I’m concerned about.
The foam is high quality. It’s comfortable, firm and resilient.
The frames are coated very well; I didn’t notice a single spot of rust or discoloration on my deck all summer long.
